Trick number one is always look for a pure sequence first. A pure sequence means three or more consecutive cards of the same suit without using a joker. For example, 4, 5, 6 of hearts. This is the most important thing in rummy because without a pure sequence, you cannot declare your hand. Many beginners get excited when they see high cards like King, Queen, or Ace. But those cards are dangerous because they carry high points. Your first priority after seeing your cards should be to find a pure sequence. In GOGO RUMMY, use the “Sort” button. It arranges all your cards by suit and number. Then scan for a pure sequence. If you have one, great. If you are one or two cards away, try to draw those cards. If you are far away, consider dropping the hand early.
